Boston Restaurants
After a long day, everyone looks forward to relaxing and sitting down to a nice
meal. Everyone has their own idea of what is best when it comes to food, but no
matter what your budget, your style, or even if you have kids, the city of
Boston has plenty to offer everyone.
If you are looking to put the "special" in a special occasion, the best place
to enjoy a romantic dinner is on the Square at Upstairs. The Soiree Room, on top of the four story building, is the place to enjoy a big anniversary dinner, or even for popping the question on that big night. It is beautifully decorated and has a main course menu that includes things like swordfish or a rack of lamb.

The fourth floor is a bit more expensive, with eentres costing twenty to forty dollars. If your looking for a romantic spot that is a little
more low key, Upstairs on the Square is still a good option. Instead of heading
up to the fourth floor, stay on the second floor at the Monday Club Bar dining
room. Here the atmosphere is much more casual, but still romantic and with a beautiful decor. The menu here is also a bit more casual, featuring things like steak, baked potatoes, sandwiches, and salads. Main courses cost a bit less, usually from ten to twenty-five dollars. Whether you have a very special
event, or you are just looking for a nice date place, Upstairs on the Square
can be perfect for either scenario.
If seafood is the name of your game, pay a visit to Legal Sea Foods. Legal's
isn't any insider tip that no one else will know about. They are a chain that has
several locations around Boston. However, this shouldn't make you think twice
about visiting this family-owned chain of restaurants. They have a regular menu
that serves calamari, salmon, shrimp, and lobster among many other varieties of
seafood. They also have specials, from whatever was at the market that morning.
All fish and shellfish are processed at their own state-of-the-art plant. They
prepare all their seafood in any and every way imaginable. After a delicious
meal of crab, lobster, or shrimp a Boston cream pie or ice cream bonbons is the
perfect ending to an excellent dining experience at Legal Sea Foods.
When vacationing on a budget, finding somewhere to eat can be one of the most difficult places to save your pennies. When in Boston, the Midwest Grill is considered the restaurant with the best value. This Brazilian Barbecue spot is
perfect for those with an appetite. Waiters bring sword-like skewers loaded
with pork, chicken, and lamb to your table and will keep bringing all kinds of
meat until you are ready to stop. They also have a salad bar style of side
dishes that range from potatoes to stews to salads to rice. Although this
restaurant is mainly meat centered, they do offer a vegetarian plate. This
never-ending supply of meats and side dishes can is offered for around $17 at
lunch and $22 at dinner.
If you've got the whole family with you, an excellent place for kids to grab a
bite to eat is Bertucci's chain of pizzerias. At Bertucci's the wood-burning
ovens where all the pizzas are made and are visible from most all the tables. These
ovens are interesting to watch for both kids and adults and the pizza that comes out of them is just as good. These pizzerias serve all kinds of pizza,
from sophisticated to simple, along with pastas and salads. There are several locations around Boston, making it easy to find a Bertucci's no matter where you are.
There are many styles and kinds of restaurants and eateries to choose from but it is always nice to have a few choices tailored to your situation or budget. These Boston favorites can be excellent after your long day.
